How to remove software installed through PPA
To remove a software installed through PPA follow these steps
and then
1-Via Terminal
(if you just removw ppa and not the software, it will be replaced by ubuntu software centr version of that software )
open terminal and typesudo ppa-purge ppa:name of ppa
for example to remove qbittorrent
sudo ppa-purge ppa:qbittorrent-team/qbittorrent-stable
2-GRaphical method
Go to software and updates and then othersoftwares and select specific ppa and remove it
and then
sudo apt-get remove --autoremove softwarename
For example for qbittorrent (it will remove qbittorrent from
ubuntu ) You can install it via software centr
sudo apt-get remove --autoremove qbittorrent
then you can use bleachbit to clean or sudo apt autoremove
and then following
sudo tlp start
Google chrome , Opera , Skype , Teamviewer also have ubuntu versions
you can download these from their websites (use google to get their websites)
Idm Alternative is XDM which can be downloaded from Here
Download your concerned file whether 86 or 64bit right click and "extract here" then open Terminal and type sudo then select the file (with single click) and drag that file to terminal and press Enter and then put your password and its done ( Browser integration part is explained on the website of XDM 2018).
now you can use your laptop :)
